Trump will reveal 150 letters celebrities sent him – including one from Oprah that says ‘Too bad we’re not running for office. What a team’ – in new book to be published next month

Donald Trump is set to reveal 150 letters that celebrities sent him – including one from Oprah Winfrey in which she writes ‘too bad we’re not running for office, what a team’ – in a new book that will be published next month.

The former President will include letters he received from presidents, royals including the late Princess Diana, world leaders, celebrities and business executives in his new book, called ‘Letters to Trump’.

The book will include letters from former Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton as well world leaders including North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, Russian President Vladimir Putin and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

The book, set to be published on April 25, will also include letters from Hillary Clinton, Michael Jackson, former senator Ted Kennedy and the late American golfer Arnold Palmer.

One of the letters, which has been published by Axios, is written by Winfrey after Trump sent her a book excerpt from his book ‘The America we Deserve’, which was published in 2000. In the book, the former President had written that his ‘first choice for Vice President would be Oprah Winfrey’.

In the hand-written letter, Winfrey writes: ‘Donald, I received the book excerpt. I have to tell you, your comments made me a little weepy. It’s one thing to try and live a life of integrity – still another have people like yourself notice. Thank you, Oprah.’

At the bottom of the letter, the talk show host adds: ‘Too bad we’re not running for office. What a team!’

Trump wrote in his book, which will cost $99 or $399 for a signed edition, that he still thinks Winfrey is ‘amazing’. But he added that Winfrey does not feel the same way. ‘Sadly, once I announced for President, she never spoke to me again,’ Trump writes.

The book will be published by Winning Team Publishing, which last year released Trump’s photo book ‘Our Journey Together’. That book grossed over $20 million in sales in the first two months alone.

A spokesperson for Winning Team Publishing said: ‘What do presidents, royals, celebrities, and business titans have in common? They all love Donald Trump.

‘Long before entering politics, Donald Trump lived an extraordinary life. No book highlights his iconic relationships like Letters to Trump, and we are thrilled to be able to share it with our readers.’
